Toyo island is the island of surrounding 10km which exists between Oosaki Island and Kamagari Island. A port and a house are in the orange orchard, the east on the west side of the island. Fishing and orange cultivation are life bases. The highest mountain is Mt Takao on the island. A scene is wonderful in the mountain of the height above sea level 317m. And, a waterfall exists uncommonly in the island. Ooshima shimojima exists in the place where it left it 500m east, and a Toyohama big bridge spans it.

from Mt,Jyumonji

Mt Jyumonji exists on the south side of Toyo Island. Height above sea level is 309m. Seto's island can be seen from the mountain.

Toyohama big bridge

This bridge is the bridge of the entire length 543m that it spans it in east Oosakishimojima of Toyo Island. A bridge for the agriculture that it was opened in 1992. It goes side by side with the bridge, and there is a free town-run ferry.

Onoura

Three villages exist in Toyo Island. All is on the east side of the island, and Onoura is that center. And, a Toyoshima port is on the east side. [Sketching is seen]

Toyoshima port

There is much prefecture outside fishing in the fishing of the island. Net fishing in the prefecture was a center in the old days.

from Tachibana

This picture is a view from Tachibana of Ooshimashimojima of the opposite side of Onoura. There is a town-run ferry between the Tachibana port and the Toyochima port.

from Mt,Gongen

There is Mt Gongen of the height above sea level 207m in Ooshimakamijima in the east of Toyo Island.

Sotonoura

This is a village on the north side in three villages in Toyo Island. An orange orchard to spread out in the steep slope, and the ship of the port are the scenery of typical Setouchi.

Toyohama-cho Public office

A public office in Toyo Island exists in the center of the village which exists in the island, Konoura. A public office moves when the bridge where opening is scheduled is completed.
